If you're a designer or founder looking to create marketing sites or portfolios without delving into code, Framer is your best bet. It allows you to design and publish everything seamlessly from one platform, offering strong animations and a content management system. However, if you plan on building complex web applications or need full control over your code and hosting, Framer will fall short.
On the other hand, if you are a solo developer focused on performance and collaboration while working on macOS or Linux, Zed is an excellent choice. Its fast editing capabilities and real-time collaboration make it ideal for performance-sensitive tasks. Just keep in mind that if you need Windows support or rely heavily on specific VS Code extensions, Zed may not fully meet your needs.
