If you're part of a software team or a startup looking for a streamlined issue tracking and project management tool, pick Linear. Its fast, keyboard-driven interface and elegant design will enhance your team's efficiency. However, if your organization is large or requires extensive customization, you should avoid Linear, as its per-user pricing can become costly and its rigid structure may not suit diverse workflows.
On the other hand, if you're a solo developer or someone who prioritizes editing performance and real-time collaboration, Zed is the right choice. Its open-source nature and superior performance make it ideal for performance-sensitive tasks. Just keep in mind that if you need Windows support or rely on specific VS Code extensions, Zed may not be the best fit at this time.
